HSC Technology
Decrease time and manpower
Our automated High Throughput Self-Interaction Chromatography (HSC™) Technology Platform offers an upgrade in your formulation research and development process. This automated system measures second virial coefficient (B22 value) of protein-protein interactions to identify excipients that promote protein solubility in solutions. The data generated from HSC screens are analyzed by a proprietary predictive algorithm to identify the optimal combination(s) of buffers, pH and excipients for the increased solubility and physical stability of proteins.
Time savings
Formulation assessment and optimization can take a long time. With HSC Technology, we shorten that to about 6 months or less.
Resource savings
Formulation optimization efforts can require a lot of manpower. With HSC Technology, it takes just one employee working with us.
A solid foundation
HSC Technology was developed by Dr. Bill Wilson, former Chairman, Chemistry Department at Mississippi State University, and former NASA astronaut, Dr. Larry DeLucas, Director of the Center for Biophysical Sciences & Engineering at the University of Alabama Birmingham. The HSC instrument and its technology have been validated over the past 12 years via industry and academic collaborations. Several clients have seen ten-fold and even hundred-fold increases in protein solubility while maintaining physical stability.
